Rap superstar Rod Wave has signed Arkansas true freshman Abdou Toure to his Mainstay Sports Agency, sources told ESPN. Green, whose real name is Rodarius Macell Green, said he was impressed by Toure's high school highlights and reached out immediately. "I believe he's a superstar talent, and a superstar person," Green told ESPN. Toure, a standout forward at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut, was ranked No. 16 in the SCNext 100 class of 2026 and No. 6 at small forward. He connected with Wave through his high school AAU program BABC (MA), where he averaged 15.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. "He was honest from Day 1 with me," Toure said. Wave sees similarities between himself and Toure, noting, "He leads by example, he's not loud about it. It reminds me of myself."
Toure committed to Arkansas in October 2025, drawn by head coach John Calipari's history. "On the court he's a dog," Wave said. "He's a highlight reel."
Arkansas opens its regular season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on SEC Network+.
