Queens University of Charlotte secured its first-ever NCAA tournament berth in dramatic fashion, defeating Central Arkansas 98-93 in overtime during the Atlantic Sun tournament. Chris Ashby led the Royals with a career-high 34 points, including a tournament-record 10 three-pointers on 19 attempts. The victory came in Queens' first year of NCAA eligibility.

Despite blowing an 11-point lead in the final 3:25 of regulation, the third-seeded Royals (21-13) rallied behind Ashby's clutch performance. Camren Hunter nearly single-handedly kept Central Arkansas alive with a 20-point outburst in the final minutes, finishing with a tournament-record 49 points. Queens' ability to withstand Hunter's heroics proved crucial to their historic achievement.

The Bears (22-12), who were also seeking their first NCAA berth, couldn't capitalize despite Hunter's record-setting performance. Nasir Mann added 14 points, Jordan Watford contributed 19, and Yoav Berman chipped in 10 for Queens. The teams combined for 74 three-point attempts, with Queens converting 16 of 38 and Central Arkansas making 15 of 36 in the high-scoring affair.
