Lindsey Vonn's father has declared that the American skiing legend's career is finished following her devastating crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy. Alan Kildow stated that Vonn, who suffered a broken left leg, will not return to competitive racing if he has any say in the matter.

Vonn, 41, underwent surgery after being evacuated by helicopter from the course. Her father, a former ski racer who taught her to compete, emphasized that the crash was unrelated to her recent ACL injury. He described watching the incident as traumatic, noting the emotional shock of seeing his daughter suffer such a severe fall.

Despite returning to World Cup racing last season after nearly six years of retirement, Vonn's father insists this injury marks the end of her competitive journey. The skiing icon, who holds the record of 12 World Cup victories in Cortina and 84 career wins overall, will not return to the Olympics to support teammates. Her family remains by her side as she recovers in a Treviso hospital.
