Women's boxing saw major shifts at super middleweight and atomweight following an active weekend. Lani Daniels stopped former champion Shadasia Green in the ninth round to claim the IBF and WBO titles and ascend to No. 1 in the division. Green was taken to the hospital with an apparent brain bleed after the bout, which had been scheduled as a potential stepping stone toward a superfight with top pound-for-pound fighter Claressa Shields.

Green entered the ring seeking to boost her profile for a potential matchup with Shields, but Daniels brought the fight to her from the opening bell. The ferocious exchanges wore Green down before the stoppage. Meanwhile, Alycia Baumgardner retained her IBF, WBA and WBO junior lightweight titles with a hard-fought unanimous decision over Bo Ri Me Shin. Baumgardner appeared close to her first stoppage in over five years before Shin rallied in Round 6 with uppercuts and crosses, but the champion's experience proved decisive.

At atomweight, Esneidy Rodriguez Olmos remained unbeaten with a one-sided decision over Eri Matsuda, taking over the top spot in the division. Matsuda dropped to No. 4 as the weight class continues to reshape itself following Tina Rupprecht's retirement six months ago.
