P.J. Haggerty scored 34 points and Nate Johnson recorded a career-high 33 points as Kansas State defeated Baylor 90-74 on Tuesday night. The Wildcats, under interim coach Matthew Driscoll, never trailed and held a double-digit lead for most of the second half to end a six-game losing streak.

Driscoll replaced fired head coach Jerome Tang just days prior. Haggerty made 15 of 23 shots, while Johnson was 11-of-16 and made five of the Wildcats' eight 3-pointers. Johnson also matched a career-best with six steals.

Driscoll praised his staff and players' 'resiliency' in overcoming adversity. Jerome Tang and Driscoll called each other 'thicker than thieves,' highlighting a close relationship despite the coaching change. Baylor (13-13, 3-10 Big 12) lost its fourth straight game.
