Ta'Niya Latson scored 21 points and Tessa Johnson added 20 as No. 2 South Carolina routed No. 5 Vanderbilt 103-74. The victory ended Vanderbilt's school-record 20-game winning streak and marked the Gamecocks' second SEC win against a top-five opponent this season.

The Gamecocks, coming off a loss at No. 16 Oklahoma, dominated from the start with an 11-2 run. Their defense forced 16 first-half turnovers against a Vanderbilt team that averages just 12.5 per game. Mikayla Blakes, the SEC's leading scorer, led the Commodores with 23 points.

South Carolina built a 21-point lead in the second quarter and used a 15-2 burst in the third to seal the game. The Gamecocks had five double-digit scorers, exploiting a Vanderbilt defense that had been holding opponents to 58 points on average. This win reasserts South Carolina's national title credentials.
