Golden State Valkyries guard Gabby Williams is signing a multiyear contract with Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 professional basketball league announced Thursday. The deal will begin when the league's 2027 season starts in January, marking another major move in women's basketball's evolving landscape.

Williams joined the Valkyries as a free agent this offseason and is currently leading the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game, while dishing out 2.5 assists per contest. This represents a career-high scoring average for the 5-foot-11 forward, who spent her previous four seasons with the Seattle Storm before making the move to Golden State.

The French international has established herself as one of the WNBA's premier defenders, finishing second in 2025 Defensive Player of the Year voting after recording 99 steals—the second-highest single-season total in league history. She also captured consecutive EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2025 and 2026 while playing for Turkish club Fenerbahçe. Williams earned Olympic bronze in 2020 and silver in 2024 representing France.

Due to Unrivaled's January-to-mid-March schedule, Williams will miss playing for Fenerbahçe during that window. However, the league's structure allows players to join overseas teams after the 3-on-3 season concludes, providing flexibility for athletes competing internationally.
