Florida State running back Ousmane Kromah will miss the rest of the 2026 season after sustaining a left ankle injury in a 43-35 double-overtime loss to Miami. The injury occurred when Kromah landed awkwardly following a 9-yard carry, with Chase Smith making the tackle. He was carted off the field, underwent surgery in Miami, and returned to Tallahassee the next day.
The Seminoles expect a full recovery. Kromah led Florida State in rushing this season with 609 yards and five touchdowns. With backup Samuel Singleton also injured from the Alabama game, Texas transfer Quintrevion Wisner becomes the lead running back moving forward.
CBS Sports first reported the season-ending nature of the injury.
