FanDuel Sportsbook will stop accepting credit card deposits starting March 2, matching a move DraftKings made in August. The decision comes after months of evaluating payment methods, with FanDuel stating the change aims to improve the deposit experience for customers. The sportsbook says this applies to its Sportsbook, casino, and racing products across the United States.

Many sports bettors avoid credit cards due to associated fees, which can add significant costs to their wagers. U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren praised FanDuel's decision, calling out the "$10 junk fee" some companies charge for funding small bets. She urged other operators to follow suit, noting that FanDuel joins DraftKings in protecting consumers from these charges.

While FanDuel and DraftKings have eliminated credit card options, other major operators like BetMGM and Caesars still accept them. The move reflects growing pressure on sportsbooks to address consumer protection concerns. FanDuel also recently launched its "Play with a Plan" program, allowing bettors to track activity, set spending limits, and establish deposit notifications as part of broader responsible gambling initiatives.
