ESPN's legendary SportsCenter anchor Linda Cohn will retire June 30 after 34 years with the network, concluding a remarkable run that saw her host more than 5,500 editions of the flagship program. Cohn's final weeks include appearances on Friday's evening SportsCenter shows and coverage of the NHL draft alongside longtime co-host John Buccigross.

Her ESPN tenure began in 1992 in Bristol before she relocated to Los Angeles in 2009 to anchor the 1 a.m. SportsCenter. When that show returned to Bristol last year, Cohn shifted to special projects. Beyond anchoring, she handled play-by-play duties for ESPN's WNBA coverage and contributed to NHL studio programming, drawing on her experience as a former college hockey goalie.

Cohn's career launched in 1981 at Patchogue's WALK-AM/FM as a news anchor and sports reporter. She earned induction into the National Sports Media Hall of Fame in 2017 and became a familiar face in the popular This is SportsCenter commercials. Her longevity provided inspiration for countless young women entering sports media.

ESPN president Burke Magnus praised Cohn as a legend who brought enthusiasm and personality to viewers for over three decades. Her departure marks the end of an era for SportsCenter and represents one of the longest tenures in ESPN's 45-year history.
