His decision came after official visits to each finalist and a live ceremony with CBS Sports, and secured his place among the Aggies' elite recruiting haul.

McFarland becomes the sixth five‑star pledge in what could be a record‑setting 2027 class. He joins tackles Kennedy Brown and Mark Matthews and defenders Raylaun Henry, Zyron Forstall and Kamarui Dorsey, all already signed. If all six enroll, Texas A&M would eclipse Alabama’s 2014 and the Aggies’ 2022 squads, each of which featured five five‑star players.
