June remains the busiest month in college football recruiting despite early commitments. For the 2027 class, 177 of the top 300 prospects (nearly 60%) are already committed, including 13 of ESPN's 21 five-star recruits. Programs like Texas A&M, Miami and Notre Dame continue battling for top classes while some elite prospects still search for their future homes.

The spring recruiting season saw significant changes as programs reshaped official visits for the revenue-share era. Texas A&M dominated elite recruiting, landing four five-star pledges including top offensive tackle Kennedy Brown. First-year coaches like Auburn's Alex Golesh and Florida's Jon Sumrall made immediate impacts, with the Gators securing 10 SC Next 300 pledges and a new recruiting energy.

The quarterback market largely settled after a slow start, with only three-star passer Colton Nussmeier remaining uncommitted among top-300 QBs. Despite early commitments, programs like Ohio State continue pursuing additional quarterbacks. With June now in full swing, 68% of top-300 prospects committed during the spring, suggesting this summer's commitment period will be lighter among elite prospects than in previous cycles.
