Creighton pulled off a stunning upset against No. 5 UConn, defeating the Huskies 91-84 in Storrs on Wednesday night. Josh Dix scored 13 of his 21 points in the second half while Nik Graves added 18 points as the Bluejays handed UConn its first conference home loss of the season.

Playing as 15.5-point underdogs, Creighton (14-13, 8-8 Big East) became the first team to beat a Dan Hurley-coached squad four times on the road. The victory came on a night when UConn retired former star Emeka Okafor's number at halftime, honoring the 2004 NCAA champion and national player of the year. UConn (24-2, 14-2) led by seven early in the second half but shot just 34% after intermission.

Braylon Mullins led the Huskies with 25 points, but UConn missed 10 of its next 11 shots during Creighton's decisive 14-2 run. The Bluejays also dominated at the foul line, outscoring UConn 27-11 from the charity stripe. This marked Creighton's first road win against an AP top-five opponent since January 2014, when they defeated Villanova.
