Miami, Ole Miss, and Oregon reached the College Football Playoff semifinals largely due to their success recruiting top transfer talent, but ultimately couldn't stop an undefeated Indiana squad powered by a Heisman Trophy winner and 16 portal starters.

With more than 3,200 FBS scholarship players making moves in January, the offseason transfer window has closed. Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Josh Hoover stands out as the premier portal addition, giving the Hoosiers an extremely qualified successor to Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza. The 31-game starter from TCU brings 9,629 career passing yards and 71 touchdowns to Bloomington, where he'll team with receivers Charlie Becker and Michigan State transfer Nick Marsh.

Texas Longhorns made waves by securing Cam Coleman, the No. 2 player in ESPN's transfer rankings, in a fierce recruiting battle against Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and Alabama. The 6-foot-3, 201-pound junior caught 93 passes for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns over two seasons at Auburn. Meanwhile, Oregon Ducks added Koi Perich, a dynamic defensive playmaker who recorded six interceptions over two seasons at Minnesota and returned 1,119 career yards as a kickoff and punt returner.

Georgia Bulldogs landed Amaris Williams, an edge rusher from Auburn with first-round potential despite limited production in a rotational role. The No. 88 overall recruit in the 2024 ESPN 300 recorded 20 career tackles, 12 pressures, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks while playing behind projected first-round pick Keldric Faulk. Now Williams has the opportunity to become a reliable full-time starter and difference-maker for the Bulldogs.
