Coco Gauff rallied from a break down in the third set to defeat Solana Sierra 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7) on Wednesday, reaching the third round at Wimbledon. Gauff trailed 7-4 in the tiebreaker but won the final six points, sealing victory with an ace after saving two match points. The American saved her best tennis for the crucial moments, fighting back when Sierra served for the match at 5-4 in the third set.

Gauff's comeback echoed her breakthrough 2019 performance at the All England Club, when she reached the fourth round as a 15-year-old by defeating Venus Williams. Despite winning both the US Open and French Open since then, she has yet to advance past the fourth round at Wimbledon. Sierra, meanwhile, was attempting to recreate her own magic after becoming the first lucky loser in the Open era to reach the fourth round last year.

Naomi Osaka made quick work of Anastasia Gasanova 6-3, 6-2, while turning heads with her latest fashion statement. Osaka wore an all-white outfit with a wide belt and train that she removed before warming up, explaining she wanted to stay for daughter Shai's birthday. The former world No. 1 continues making headlines both on and off the court.

Top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka joined them in the third round by defeating Mc Cartney Kessler 6-1, 7-6 (9), saving two set points before converting her third match point in the tiebreaker. Sabalenka will face Jelena Ostapenko next, while Gauff's resilience suggests she's ready to finally break through at SW19.
