John Calipari secured his 900th career victory as No. 20 Arkansas outlasted Missouri 88-84 in overtime on Saturday. Meleek Thomas led the Razorbacks with 28 points while Trevon Brazile added 19 points and nine rebounds. Arkansas played without star freshman Darius Acuff Jr., who missed the game with an undisclosed injury.

Calipari becomes just the fifth Division I men's basketball coach to reach 900 wins, joining an elite group that includes Mike Krzyzewski and Jim Boeheim. Malique Ewin sealed the victory for Arkansas by converting four straight free throws in the final 12 seconds of overtime. Mark Mitchell scored a career-high 32 points for Missouri, while Shawn Phillips Jr. recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The game featured multiple lead changes, with Missouri taking its first lead at 45-44 on an alley-oop dunk by Phillips. Mitchell surpassed the 1,000-point mark in his Missouri career during the contest. Arkansas will open SEC Tournament play Friday in Nashville, while Missouri plays on Thursday.
