The Las Vegas Aces are heading to the WNBA Commissioner's Cup championship game after an 86-76 victory over the Phoenix Mercury. A'ja Wilson dominated with 33 points and 11 rebounds, leading the Western Conference champions to their third Cup final appearance. The Aces will face the New York Liberty in Brooklyn on June 30, where a $500,000 prize pool awaits the winner.

New York advanced with an 86-64 win over Washington, finishing 6-0 in Commissioner's Cup play. The Liberty have made the championship game more times than any other franchise. Las Vegas went 6-1 in the tournament and secured the tiebreaker over Minnesota with a 100-97 win on Saturday.

This marks the first time since the Cup began in 2021 that the same teams have met in consecutive finals. The Aces are the only franchise to win both the Commissioner's Cup and WNBA championship in the same season, accomplishing that in 2022. Coach Becky Hammon emphasized that midseason success doesn't guarantee October glory.
