Running back remains volatile. The average age of a top-15 fantasy RB over five years is 25.3, yet veterans Christian McCaffrey (30), Derrick Henry (32), and Saquon Barkley (29) are going in the first five rounds. Clay recommends securing at least one RB in the first two rounds, warning of a "dead zone" starting in Round 5. The "Zero RB" strategy — loading up on WRs early — remains viable with young backs like Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Ashton Jeanty emerging.

Wide receiver is top-heavy: Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb, and Justin Jefferson command first-round capital, with a relatively flat tier drop-off thereafter.
