Panthers Win
On the NHL's Frozen Frenzy night, the Tkachuk brothers combined for nine points as Florida beat Columbus 7-3.
Records and Debuts
Patrick Kane set a record for assists by a U.S.-born player, adding a helper on Connor Bedard's goal. Meanwhile, Roger McQueen continued his string of "Cars" references after his NHL debut, following a draft-night trip to Disneyland.
Trades
Toronto acquired Aatu Räty after he cleared waivers, with the Maple Leafs sending Jacob Quillan and Brandon Buhr to Vancouver in return.
