The NHL offseason continues to be a flurry of activity with significant contract signings and trades shaping teams for the upcoming season. The Calgary Flames made a substantial move by signing defenseman Simon Nemec to a five-year contract worth $36.25 million signed Nemec to deal. In Anaheim, restricted free agent defenseman Pavel Mintyukov also inked a five-year extension, agreeing to terms on a $36 million deal that will keep him with the Ducks for an additional five seasons re-signed Mintyukov.
