Ньюкасл fought back from two goals down as Jacob Ramsey's late strike rescued a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at St James' Park. Bournemouth appeared on track for their first win under Marco Rose after an early strike from Marcus Tavernier and a Malick Thiaw own goal, only to blow a late lead for the third straight game. Harvey Barnes halved the deficit with a stunning curler just 27 seconds after the kick-off following Bournemouth's second goal, before substitute Ramsey found the bottom corner in the 88th minute to continue Newcastle's unbeaten start under Matthias Jaissle.

Bournemouth were the better side overall, attempting 17 shots compared to only eight from the lacklustre hosts, but Ramsey's leveller follows crucial stoppage-time goals conceded in their games against Manchester City and Everton. The Cherries have lost seven points from winning positions this term. They are the first side in Premier League history to score the opening goal in their first three games and fail to win any of them.
