NFL Roster Moves & Draft Prep
The Atlanta Falcons acquired safety Sydney Brown from the Eagles in a personnel swap that also involved the exchange of mid-round selections, specifically swapping fourth- and sixth-round draft picks in the upcoming selection process. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers are deferring a major commitment to offensive tackle Trent Williams, choosing not to exercise his current option bonus while simultaneously engaging in talks to secure a long-term agreement. Addressing their offensive line needs elsewhere, the Minnesota Vikings signed veteran Ryan Van Demark to a one-year contract to bolster tackle depth ahead of training camp.
Separately, preparations for the imminent draft are already impacting local infrastructure, as Pittsburgh Public Schools announced a shift to remote learning for April 22 through 24 to accommodate the logistical demands of hosting the NFL event in the city.
