Государство Мавритиус продлило режим курфew на вторую ночь по всей территории острова после самых серьезных беспорядков с 1999 года. A mobile special forces unit was deployed to patrol the western part of the island on October 13 after violent protests erupted. The unrest marks the most significant civil disturbance in the country in over two decades.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific triggers for the protests or the number of arrests made. The curfew aims to restore order and prevent further escalation of violence across the Indian Ocean nation。.
