Floci is a locally runnable, MIT-licensed binary that emulates AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI services in milliseconds without requiring cloud accounts, auth tokens, or credentials. It offers drop-in replacements for Local Stack with support for 119+ services on port 4566, including S3, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, Blob, Queue, Table, Functions, Key Vault, Event Hubs, Service Bus, GCS, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, GKE, Object Storage, Identity, Queue, Streaming, KMS, Vault, and Functions. Built for AI-assisted development, Floci allows agents to safely test cloud code locally with zero blast radius, no risk of credential leaks, and no billing concerns.

With 24ms cold start and 13 MiB idle memory usage, it enables fast inner-loop iteration. Floci provides real engines—Lambda runs in Docker containers, RDS uses real PostgreSQL/MySQL, and ElastiCache runs real Redis—ensuring 100% protocol fidelity. It works with any SDK, CLI, Terraform/OpenTofu module, or test runner via AWS_ENDPOINT_URL=http://localhost:4566.

Use cases include CI ephemeral test environments, local-first development, infrastructure-as-code dry runs, and classroom workshops. Floci requires no sign-ups, API keys, or telemetry and will never require auth tokens, unlike Local Stack which began requiring them in March 2026.
