MLB Labor & Roster Moves
Negotiations between MLB and the MLBPA have deepened the rift, with interim executive director Bruce Meyer noting that MLB’s latest proposal leaves the two sides six months away from a collective bargaining agreement. Meanwhile, the San Francisco Giants have shifted their bullpen strategy, placing reliever Joel Peguero on the 60‑day injured list after a left hamstring strain and immediately designating infielder Buddy Kennedy for assignment as they add pitcher Wilkin Ramos from Triple‑A. In Seattle, first baseman Josh Naylor exited a 5‑3 victory over the Mets with back spasms after a seventh‑inning home run, leaving him day‑to‑day and raising concerns about the Mariners’ rotation depth.
