Permira has completed its acquisition of JTC for £2.7 billion ($3.7 billion; €3.2 billion), partnering with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on the deal. JTC is a global fund administration, corporate and trust services platform serving private capital and wealth management clients through its Institutional Capital Services and Private Capital Services businesses. The company has built a leading platform for US trust services, leveraging its long-established European operations. Structural demand from private capital and the intergenerational transfer of wealth are cited as long-term growth drivers.

Permira, which has invested about €16 billion of equity capital in the wider services sector over four decades including Alter Domus, Tricor and Kroll, plans to support JTC's expansion across North America and Europe. This will be driven by organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The firm will focus on investment in next-generation technology, AI-enabled client delivery and intelligent automation. Under the deal, JTC chief executive Nigel Le Quesne aims to double the size of the group again as part of a "Genesis era" business plan, focused on combining workforce with technology and AI investment to deliver services across a global platform.
