How to Change Siri's Voice and Settings

Siri's voice will be more expressive in iOS 27, but only on the latest hardware like iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and M4 iPad or newer with 12GB RAM. On current iOS and iPadOS, go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Voice to change Siri's voice. You may need to wait for the download over Wi-Fi or carrier network.

Adjust how Siri responds via Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk & Type to Siri or Siri Responses to choose between spoken, quiet, or text-only responses. For iOS 27 beta users, tapping Settings > Siri > Voice reveals a black screen with a white orb and access to Pace and Expressivity sliders for American and British voices only. Sliding right increases emotion and inflection; left makes it more robotic.

To change Siri's speed, go to Settings > Accessibility > Siri, where you can adjust Speaking Rate, Siri Pause Time, Spoken Responses, Listen for Atypical Speech, Require 'Siri' for interruptions, and Always Show Request. iPhones back to the SE 2nd gen and iPhone 11 will get iOS 27, but full Apple Intelligence features require newer models.
