Cardiff City head coach Brian Barry-Murphy confirmed centre-back Dylan Lawlor is unlikely to feature for Wales in their upcoming Nations League fixtures. The 20-year-old sustained a knee injury during international duty in June and has been sidelined since. Cardiff face Lisbon on Thursday, 24 September, followed by a match in Copenhagen three days later.

Barry-Murphy stated Lawlor injured his knee in a game against Ghana and is not yet close to returning. He is currently doing light jogging but remains a long way from full fitness. Earlier this year, Lawlor missed a month with a medial ligament injury.

He featured in Wales' World Cup play-off semi-final defeat by Bosnia-Herzegovina, where manager Craig Bellamy praised his "outstanding" performance. Lawlor has won six caps for Wales.
