Apple TV has announced a new crime drama series called The Wanted Man, starring Hugh Laurie as an incarcerated organized crime boss planning an escape. The series premieres Wednesday, January 6, with its first two episodes, followed by weekly releases through February 17.

Laurie plays Felix Carmichael, a crime boss betrayed by someone inside his own firm and sent to the notorious Staplehurst prison. The cast also includes Thandiwe Newton, Fionn Whitehead, Gina McKee, Hazel Doupe, Elliott Heffernan, and Stephen Dillane. The Wanted Man is created by George Kay, who also created the Idris Elba thriller Hijack.

Apple TV is available for $14.99 per month or discounted through the Apple One bundle. Other crime series currently airing include Last Seen and a new season of Slow Horses, with Nocturne starring Liev Schreiber joining next month.
