VC general partner Judith Dada leaves full‑time investing to become co‑CEO of Berlin AI platform Langdock. She will stay a senior partner at Visionaries as the firm prepares a new fundraise later this year. Langdock, which aggregates models such as Gemini, Anthropic, OpenAI and Mistral, aims to let enterprises swap engines for tasks like AI‑agent deployment. The hire signals a deeper investor‑operator crossover.

The startup last raised $3m in 2024 from General Catalyst, the former La Famiglia team and Y Combinator, with angels such as Get Your Guide co‑founder Johannes Reck. Visionaries reports Langdock now generates $40m in annual recurring revenue and is profitable, serving over 10,000 customers from SMEs to large corporates. Dada will focus on external relations, policy, and marketing from September onward, while still sourcing opportunistic deals.

Dada’s move arrives as Europe pushes for sovereign AI capability and faces criticism that Langdock is Delaware‑registered despite a largely European cap table. The company relies on Microsoft Azure, making U.S. data‑jurisdiction concerns salient after recent U.S. export‑control limits on Anthropic models. Dada argues that building fully European‑jurisdiction data centres represents a sizeable market opportunity. She expects the shift to accelerate cross‑border collaborations.
