Swedish AI legal startup Legora is in talks to raise funding at a valuation of at least $10bn, nearly double the $5.6bn it commanded after its Series D in March, according to the FT. The early‑stage discussions could involve both secondaries and new capital, sources familiar with the financing said.

Founded in 2023, Legora offers a collaborative AI platform built on large language models to help lawyers research, review and draft documents. Over the past year and a half the company has grown from 40 to 700 team members across 18 offices in cities such as Stockholm, London, New York, Denver, Sydney and Bengaluru. The platform supports more than 1,500 enterprise customers in over 50 markets, including firms like Bird & Bird, Cleary Gottlieb, White & Case, Linklaters, Deloitte, Dentons and Goodwin.

The firm has pursued an acquisition spree this year as part of its growth strategy. Sifted reached out to Legora, which declined to comment. Max Junestrand, the CEO, will speak at the Sifted Summit in London. The move reflects confidence in AI’s role in streamlining legal work and positions Legora as a major player in the legal tech arena.
