Goldman Sachs named Amanda Lynam as its new chief credit strategist, luring her back from BlackRock where she led macro credit research. She joins the global investment research group in late March, filling the role vacated by Lotfi Karoui, who left last year after an 18-year tenure.

Lynam’s return adds deep expertise to Goldman’s refreshed research platform. She spent over a decade at the bank earlier in her career, first joining in 2005 and returning in 2016 after a stint at Nomura. At BlackRock, she oversaw analysis of global fixed income and corporate credit.

The move is part of a broader leadership update within Goldman’s research division, which also recently appointed a new chief U.S. equity strategist. Lynam’s appointment signals the bank’s intent to strengthen its credit research bench amid shifting market dynamics.
