Windjammer Capital has acquired PrecisionX, a Waterbury, Connecticut-based manufacturer of high-precision metal components, from Core Industrial Partners. The deal marks Windjammer's entry into the precision manufacturing sector, adding specialty deep and shallow drawn stamping and Swiss screw machining capabilities to its portfolio.

PrecisionX serves diverse end markets with advanced technologies including progressive stamping and wire EDM machining. Chris Huntington leads the company as CEO. Core Industrial Partners had initially invested in PrecisionX in February 2023, positioning the company for growth before the recent sale to Windjammer.

The acquisition strengthens Windjammer's manufacturing footprint and expands its technical capabilities in precision engineering. With this move, Windjammer gains access to a specialized supplier serving multiple industries requiring exacting metal component specifications.
