Vesterra Capital Partners has completed two add-on acquisitions for its portfolio company Bland Landscaping: Charleston Grounds Management (CGM) and Clear Lakes and Wetland Services (CLAWS). CGM, founded by Lee Hickman, serves Charleston-area HOA, townhome, and multifamily clients with landscape maintenance, irrigation, enhancements, and aquatics work. CLAWS, founded by Ken Robinson, provides lake, pond, and fountain management plus fish stocking for Myrtle Beach commercial customers. The acquisitions extend Bland’s existing 17-branch Southeast footprint into aquatics services. Bland Landscaping, headquartered in Apex, North Carolina, is a regional commercial and estate landscape management and contracting business operating across the Southeast. “These acquisitions reflect Bland’s success partnering with established, founder-led businesses in great markets,” said Matt Kunz, partner at Vesterra. “CGM and CLAWS strengthen Bland’s position in South Carolina and further enhance Bland’s ability to serve customers across the Southeast.” Vesterra is a lower middle market investment firm focused on control investments in the services economy, managing approximately $1.9 billion in assets.

These deals mark continued expansion for Bland Landscaping, which has been actively consolidating regional landscaping and aquatics service providers throughout the Southeast under Vesterra’s backing.

The acquired companies bring complementary service lines and established customer bases in key South Carolina markets, supporting Bland’s broader growth strategy.

Vesterra’s investment approach emphasizes partnering with proven founders and management teams in resilient service sectors.
