TriWest Capital Partners has sold its stake in Peloton Computer Enterprises as part of a recapitalization transaction led by Carlyle Group. The Calgary-based company provides data management solutions for the oil and gas industry, supporting energy digital transformation through mobility, automation and data integration.

Peloton's current investors include Silver Lake and HarbourVest Partners, who joined TriWest in a 2017 investment. The company, established in 1991, serves more than 600 energy clients worldwide with well data lifecycle, production data lifecycle and land data management solutions. CEO Glen Gray leads the company's operations.

No financial terms were disclosed for the recapitalization. TriWest's partner Duncan Adams noted the investment marked the firm's first software-as-a-service venture, partnering with both Peloton and Silver Lake to develop its SaaS investment framework. The transaction provides liquidity for existing investors while positioning Peloton for continued growth in the energy technology sector.
