Thompson Street Capital Partners portfolio company ATIS has acquired Soberman Engineering, a Toronto-based vertical transportation consulting firm. The acquisition expands ATIS' capabilities in the Toronto market and strengthens its presence in the Canadian vertical transportation sector, according to a company statement.

Soberman Engineering brings over 60 years of experience in independent vertical transportation consulting across new construction, modernization, inspections, and maintenance advisory. The firm joins ATIS, already one of North America's largest providers of vertical transportation inspections, consulting, and managed services, with a team of over 200 licensed QEI professionals serving more than 15,000 clients.

KJA, a subsidiary of ATIS and Canada's largest provider of vertical transportation consulting and managed services, is headquartered in Toronto. The acquisition positions ATIS to better serve the growing Toronto market while leveraging Soberman Engineering's established reputation and expertise in the region. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
