Med Tech Solutions, a Valencia, California-based provider of managed healthcare IT services backed by Silversmith Capital Partners, has acquired Avarion, a healthcare IT advisory and consulting firm based in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. The transaction brings together two established players in the healthcare IT space. No financial terms were disclosed.

Founded in 2007, Avarion will now operate under MTS's umbrella. As part of the deal, Avarion CEO and founding partner Robert Kitts will take on a leadership role, overseeing MTS's strategic advisory and staffing services. This suggests a strategic fit rather than a simple asset purchase, with the founder staying on to guide the combined business.

The acquisition strengthens MTS's capabilities in healthcare IT consulting and advisory services. The addition of Avarion's expertise and experienced leadership positions the combined entity to better serve healthcare organizations navigating complex IT challenges.
