Sheridan Capital Partners is set to acquire Carolina Components Group (CCG), a provider of bioprocessing assemblies for biopharmaceuticals, per PE Hub. Founder John Cooling and executives retain stakes, while Maurice Phelan assumes CEO role. Sheridan aims to expand CCG’s reach into biotech hubs like Boston and San Francisco, plus emerging manufacturing regions, to enhance its value-added services.

The firm plans to invest in AI tools and digital capabilities to optimize design and procurement, alongside organic growth through existing teams. PE interest in pharma manufacturing persists due to biologics demand and onshoring trends, with Sheridan targeting recurring revenue models in single-use components. Previously, Sheridan acquired Currier Plastics (2025) and Advi Health (2022), both life sciences firms.
