PSG Equity is backing the combination of Be-Cloud and Quality Hosting, two Microsoft cloud specialists, to form a pan-European cloud services delivery platform for SMBs and their IT partners. The combined group will serve about 50,000 SMB end-customers and more than 2,000 partners in France, DACH and the Benelux. It plans to broaden its products and services across cloud, cybersecurity and AI through both organic growth and M&A, and to keep expanding across Europe.

Paris-based Be-Cloud was founded in 2012 by Lenny Vercruysse. It is a Microsoft CSP distributor and managed service provider serving SMBs and IT partners across France, the Benelux and Switzerland. Quality Hosting was founded in 1998 by Christian Heit and Markus Oestreicher and is based in Gelnhausen, Germany.

It is also a Microsoft CSP distributor and managed service provider. It delivers cloud and managed services through an automated proprietary platform covering Microsoft 365, Azure, security, compliance and governance. In 2014 it became Germany’s first Microsoft CSP.

The deal brings together Be-Cloud’s commercial engine and partner network with Quality Hosting’s AI-enabled automation capabilities and service delivery model, according to a statement. “The European cloud and IT services market presents a significant opportunity, driven by continued digitalisation and growing demand from SMBs for cloud, security and AI solutions,” said Christian Stein, managing director at PSG Equity, in a statement. “We believe the combination of Be-Cloud and Quality Hosting creates a compelling pan-European delivery platform, bringing together two highly complementary businesses in what remains a fragmented European market.” PSG Equity is a growth equity firm that partners with software and technology-enabled services companies.
