With wellness taking center stage, nutraceuticals—foods and extracts that liebe health benefits—are growing fast and remain highly fragmented, making them a prime target for private‑equity (PE) investment.

Wise Equity announced the purchase of E-Pharma Trento, an Italian contract developer with two plants in Trento that produce effervescent tablets, granules, powders and orodispersible forms. Its 2025 revenue topped €55 million, 45% of which came from outside Italy, and the company has a combined capacity of around 900 million units per year.

Butterfly Equity and Graham Partners teamed up to invest in Custom Flavors, a San Clemente‑based maker of liquid and powdered sweeteners that serves the nutraceutical, gummy, protein and functional‑food markets. The deal also launched a flavor investment platform that backs Custom Flavors and Target Flavors.

Other notable moves include Ambienta’s stake in GFF, Adenia Partners’ acquisition of Parkville Pharmaceuticals in Egypt, Lupin Limited buying VISUfarma, Frontenac‑backed MBHC acquiring NP Nutra, and Gryphon Investors‑backed Metagenics purchasing the probiotic brand Symprove. These deals illustrate the sector’s diversity and the growing appetite for growth in the nutraceutical space.
