The New York-based firm, co-founded by Marc Lasry and Sonia Gardner in 1995, will keep its aviation team in charge of managing these assets. This arrangement allows the existing management to maintain operational control over the projects.

This deal uses a continuation vehicle to provide liquidity while maintaining the current asset management structure. Avenue Capital leverages its long history in the sector to stabilize the portfolio.
