Palladian Invests in GVG; Haudecoeur Expands; Charterhouse Takes Animalcare Private

Palladian Investment Partners has invested in Global Vehicle Group (GVG), a UK B2B leasing broker managing assets exceeding £2.5 billion. Co-founders Andrew Hurst and Jonathan Lewis are reinvesting alongside Palladian. H2 Equity Partners exits after a four-year partnership as GVG's first private equity backer. GVG recently bolted on Fleet Alliance in Glasgow and LCV Group in Swansea.

In France, Apheon-backed Haudecoeur acquired Natur Food (Germany) and Heliadis (Belgium) for its first international expansion. The deals generate combined turnover of over €350 million. Apheon managing partner Wolfgang de Limburg said the acquisitions illustrate their buy-and-build strategy.

Charterhouse Capital Partners completed the take-private of York-based Animalcare Group, valuing it at £235 million. The veterinary pharmaceuticals company benefits from structural tailwinds including increasing pet ownership.

Providence Equity's Karim Tabet noted digitalization increases demand for live experiences: "The paradox of digitalization is that it makes physical scarcity even more important."
