Juniper Capital Management has made a private equity investment in Bug ID, a San Francisco Bay Area audiovisual systems design and integration firm. The deal, which closes after 27 years in business, marks a significant move into the AV integration space by the growth-focused fund.

Bug ID specializes in designing complex AV systems for media facilities, broadcast studios, healthcare research labs, and corporate campuses. Founded in 1997, the company has built a reputation for handling technically demanding environments across the Western United States.

Founder and CEO Matt Lavine will retain a meaningful equity stake and continue leading the business post-investment. The partnership aims to accelerate Bug ID's expansion while maintaining its hands-on approach to system design and integration.

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This investment reflects growing private equity interest in specialized technology services firms with strong client relationships and recurring revenue models.
