Private equity firm IGP has appointed Taylor Catarozoli as a managing director on its investment team, signaling a deeper commitment to its aerospace and defense (A&D) focus. The San Francisco-based firm said the hire strengthens its ability to identify, partner with, and scale leading companies in the sector.
Catarozoli brings more than 15 years of private equity experience, most recently as a managing director at Graycliff Partners. He previously served as a partner at Liberty Hall Capital Partners, an A&D specialist where he helped lead investments in manufacturing and engineered product businesses. His earlier roles include time at Oak Hill Capital Management and investment banking stints at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital.
IGP’s current A&D portfolio includes Lamart, Marki Microwave, Alpha Metalcraft Group and AEM. The move follows the firm’s September $1.1bn sale of Prince & Izant to Trans Digm, a deal in which the portfolio company more than doubled its EBITDA during IGP’s ownership.
“A&D has long been an important sector for IGP,” said Dave Di Franco, managing partner. Founded in 1997, IGP invests exclusively in middle-market industrial companies and has raised more than $3.4 billion of equity capital since inception.
