Allvia, a workforce‑services platform backed by Trinity Hunt Partners, announced the acquisition of Smith Communication Partners, an Atlanta‑based firm that advises on workforce strategy and employee communications. Trey Wood, Smith’s president and managing partner, will retain leadership of the business alongside his senior team. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal expands Allvia’s consulting capabilities and deepens its presence in the Southern United States.

Allvia has pursued a strategy of bundling technology platforms with advisory services to capture a larger share of corporate talent‑management spend. By adding Smith’s expertise in internal communications, the combined entity can offer end‑to‑end solutions from workforce planning to change‑management messaging, a value proposition that appeals to Fortune 500 firms seeking integrated vendors across multiple industries and regions.

The acquisition positions Allvia to cross‑sell Smith’s consulting practice to its existing client base, potentially boosting revenue per client and creating upsell opportunities. Investors will watch whether the enlarged service suite translates into higher contract win rates, especially as companies increase spending on employee engagement amid a tight labor market. Alliva now controls a broader suite of workforce solutions.
