Vision Ridge Europe Head Departure

Colorado-based Vision Ridge Partners is expected to part ways with Ramzi Moubarak, head of its European business, after less than two years in the role. Sources familiar with the matter said Moubarak would depart by mutual agreement in coming weeks, though he disputed the reports and emphasized remaining employed. The firm declined to comment.

Moubarak joined Vision Ridge in May 2021 to enhance the firm's global investment network, tasked with sourcing European deals across transportation, agriculture, and energy sectors. His appointment followed the US firm's European expansion with a London office opening in October 2020. Prior to joining, he held senior positions at Macquarie Capital and Montagu.

The departure comes as Vision Ridge recently closed its $2.4 billion sustainability fund, representing the manager's largest fundraise to date. The firm now manages about $5.6 billion in AUM. This marks the second high-profile exit this year of a European infrastructure head at a prominent manager, following Alastair Hall's resignation from OMERS in January.
