Houston‑based energy startup Joulent closed the week’s largest deal, raising $1.75 billion in a strategic financing led by National Grid Ventures. The capital will expand its AI‑focused power infrastructure, positioning the firm to meet growing compute‑intensive demand. The financing also tops any U.S. energy‑tech venture round this year.

San Francisco’s Together AI secured $800 million in a Series C round, pushing its post‑money valuation to $8.3 billion. Backed by Aramco Ventures, the funding fuels the company’s push to provide a turnkey infrastructure layer for firms running open‑source AI models. The capital will accelerate partnerships with cloud providers bundling AI infrastructure.

Other notable rounds included Leap Xpert’s $180 million growth round for enterprise compliance tools, 8090 Solutions’ $135 million Series C backed by Salesforce 1, and biotech newcomer Beeline Medicines closing $126 million in a Series A extension. Home‑building AI firm Higharc added $95 million, while the Premier Lacrosse League and Twelve Labs each raised $100 million. Investors see these bets as a hedge.
