Top 10 Funding Rounds: Atoms Leads With $1.7B

Startup investors injected significant capital into a diverse range of sectors this week, including physical AI, biotech, cybersecurity, AI infrastructure, and fintech. The largest financing round was a $1.7 billion investment in Atoms, the physical AI startup founded by Uber’s Travis Kalanick. Kalanick described the Los Angeles-based company's vision as central to an "industrial revolution" where major economic sectors become digitized.

Following Atoms, Meshy AI, a developer of AI foundation models for 3D generation, secured $400 million in Series B funding. Battery technology company Sila also raised $300 million to expand its silicon anode plant. Other notable rounds included Etched, a chip co-designer, which raised $300 million in Series C funding, and fintech startup Augustus, which secured $180 million in Series B funding.

Further down the list, defense tech startup Cathedral raised $160 million, and biotech firm Crystalys Therapeutics closed an oversubscribed $130 million Series B round. Healthcare software company Candid Health landed $120 million in Series D funding, while AI-powered cybersecurity startup Glow announced $100 million in new financing, and Neo Security, focused on agentic software control, also raised $100 million.
