Rebar Raises $14M for AI-Powered HVAC Quoting Platform

Rebar, a New York-based startup building an AI operating system for commercial HVAC suppliers, has raised $14 million in Series A funding led by Prudence. The company says its proprietary computer vision models can analyze construction blueprints and generate quotes 60-70% faster than traditional methods, producing a bill of materials automatically.

Founded in October 2024 by Evan Brown and Andrew Schwartz, Rebar trained its AI on millions of HVAC blueprints to mirror the workflows real estimators use. The founders took an intentional approach, focusing specifically on HVAC rather than covering all trades. Brown brings firsthand industry experience from his time as an estimator at Johnson Barrow/DMG Corp., where he worked with contractors, engineers, and manufacturers.

The startup has already doubled its annual recurring revenue in the first six weeks of 2026 and counts 40 clients, with seven being investors in the company. Rebar operates on a usage-based subscription model and claims customers see win rates increase 2-3x while reducing quote creation time from up to a week to minutes.
