40 Companies Join Crunchbase Unicorn Board in July

Forty companies joined The Crunchbase Unicorn Board in July, the highest monthly total in over four years, with three reaching values above $10 billion.

Leading sectors were financial services, robotics, AI orchestration, multimodal AI, energy and semiconductors. In the past two months the board added more than $100 billion each month in value from newly minted unicorns. Crypto.com, Kling AI and Ant International together added $49 billion. The U.S. led with 19 new unicorns, China 8, the U.K. 3, Singapore 2, and single entries from Lithuania, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Australia, India, Israel and Hong Kong. Fifteen of the new entrants are under 3 years old, while seven exceed a decade.

Notable July additions include Ant International, spun out in 2024 and valued at $11.2 billion after a $1.2 billion Series A; Lumin Digital, a digital‑banking platform, reached $1.6 billion after a $115 million equity round; Ominimo, an AI‑powered auto‑insurance firm, hit $1.6 billion after a $23 million Series B. Robotics leaders such as Lim X Dynamics ($2.2 billion) and Yimu Technology ($1.5 billion) also joined the board.
